Lauraetta Edgar, President and Founder of  Star Bolt & Screw Co. 

Lauraetta Edgar started Star Bolt & Screw Co. in 1973 in what was a traditionally male dominated business, as a supplier of industrial fasteners (nuts and bolts) and supplies to small machine shops. Amazingly, she established and operated a thriving business while raising four children, ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Under her leadership, the Star Bolt & Screw Co. has become a successful enterprise for over 25 years. Lauraetta is a mentor to younger female entrepreneurs and is active in the community, church, and business affairs.  Lauraetta exemplifies the attitude, competence, and dedication of a successful entrepreneur.
